Brother Jerome has a gift for making breads, cookies, muffins, and pastries, so he opens the monastery bakery to the public to help pay the bills. The bakery becomes a hang-out for the culinary monk’s guardian angel Gus and his angel friends because they say bakeries are the places on earth that smell most like heaven. Human customers, however, are hard to come by so Brother Jerome grows discouraged. That’s when the angels get involved, put the bakery on the road to success, and teach Brother Jerome a lesson about combining hard work with trust in God.
