Whether he strikes out in Little League or does poorly on his report card, Michael asks his mother if she still loves him in spite of his mistakes. She assures him she does and that he’s very special to her. As Michael journeys from childhood to manhood, his Mom’s unconditional love builds his self-confidence and instills him with a desire to help others. Years later, Michael's mother is very sick, and she wonders if she’s too much trouble for him. He responds, "When you love someone, they can never be too much trouble. Now it's your turn to see just how special you are to me."
